Want to grow your Instagram? Looking for ways that attract new followers? Today I am sharing one of my favorite tricks (if you are happy with followers you have and want to monetize your account instead, then read this 5 Ways to Make Money on Instagram).

On average, Instagram users share “more than 95 million photos and videos every single day” according to Reuters.

Engage with people in your niche

Go through and like 5-10 photos on someone’s account from the same niche that you have. It would also help you to leave a genuine comment and give them a follow. This helps to get your name out there and allows other users to discover you.  I’d again suggest doing this primarily only to users in your niche. How do you find users in your niche? Check hashtags or view the followers of your favorite Instagrammers. Overall, be authentic and not spammy!

Before you post your next photo on Instagram, take some time to engage with the content other accounts are posting: specifically, accounts similar to yours which are part of your niche.

The basic rule of Instagram is that engagement feeds engagement. By interacting with other users on the platform, you’re increasing your chance of being seen. The more you engage, the more visible your account becomes, and the more engagement you’ll get from visitors to your profile.

But, the quality of engagement on Instagram is just as important as the quantity, which is why you should invest your time selecting specific accounts to engage with.
